Fat Tuesday is quickly approaching and the Arlington Highlands retailers can’t wait! Mardi Gras is part of a global Carnival celebration that begins with Fat Tuesday, followed by Ash Wednesday. Commonly, people dress up in costumes and masks to dance and parade around in preparation for a joyous spring. Cities all over the world celebrate Fat Tuesday in one way or another and Arlington is no exception. Join in all the fun and festivities we have going on February 21st.

Look your best

It’s time to say goodbye to 2011 and hello to 2012. With the New Year quickly approaching, have you started thinking about how you plan on ringing in the New Year? Last Chance for Photos with Santa at Arlington Highlands

Photos with Santa Arlington HighlandsThis Saturday, December 17, don’t miss the LAST weekend for photos with Santa at Arlington Highlands.

Photo opportunities for your family will be available from noon until 6 p.m. and, after pictures, enjoy an entire day of holiday events at Arlington Highlands featuring Mrs. Claus Bell Show, Holiday Jazz in the Park featuring Zamar and Arlington Family Music.

Saturday’s schedule is as follows:

12-6 p.m. – Photos with Santa
1 p.m. – Mrs. Claus Bell Show
2 p.m. – Mrs. Claus Bell Show
3 p.m. – Holiday Jazz in the Park featuring Zamar
4 p.m. – Arlington Family Music

Families also have the chance to see Santa at the Chocolate Tour hosted at The Melting Pot this Saturday. Enjoy chocolate trivia, demonstrations, and a behind-the-scenes tour of The Melting Pot in Arlington all with Santa leading the way. Kids will be surprised with a chocolate tasting party at the end of the tour. The tour benefits St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

After all of the festivities at our center, get your holiday shopping finished with our extensive selection of stores (plus, they’re all in one convenient location so you can avoid driving all over town). Pick up cute scarves for stocking stuffers at Old Navy, warm, cozy sweaters at Ann Taylor LOFT, unique jewelry at Francesca’s, fitness equipment at Busy Body, movie tickets from Studio Movie Grill and so much more.

You can also treat the entire family to a warm meal at one of our 25 restaurant and entertainment venues conveniently located in one easy location. Gift cards at your favorite restaurant make for another great gift idea or stocking stuffer, too.
